The 2010 Montrose Music Festival will be Friday 28th - Sunday 30th May. The committee are busy booking acts and venues for your entertainment. Heres hoping for more good weather.

Well folks, what a weekend of live music that was. But all good things come to an end and that's it for another year, although work has already begun on MMF 2010. Full reviews of Montrose Music Festival 2009 will be posted shortly.

What it's all about:

What
We are a non-profit, volunteer organisation, dedicated to promoting free live music of all styles and genres, and at all levels, in Montrose and surrounding areas. Our goal is to build on the success of previous festivals and keep Angus on the map as a live music destination, ensuring that Montrose Music Festival remains a nationally recognised, and much anticipated, annual event.

Where
Many of the free live gigs played during the festival are hosted in the pubs, clubs, hotels and other suitable venues around Montrose, although our ticket entry concerts and other, larger events, are usually held in Montrose Town Hall. See the Montrose page for further information about the town, including directions and accommodation.

When
We've set the annual festival calendar to the last weekend in May, when spring has sprung its last, and summer is just around the corner. Although the weather can be a bit unpredictable at that time of year, we have enjoyed fantastic sunshine for the first two festivals in '08 and '09 and we are confident of a recurring theme at festival time each year.

Who
We are a volunteer group of music lovers, from various walks of life, who have a mutual respect for live music in all of its many forms. See the Contact page for further info on the committee members. Although the committee itself is quite a small group, there are many other helpers and supporters in the background, helping us to acheive our goals and bring this annual feast of live music to Montrose.
