A great music venue situated in the centre of town, boasting a split level bar and lounge area. Ash is no stranger to live music, having had many bands and musicians playing there in the past.

The Black Abbot, has a large bar and lounge, both of which will host a variety of live music throughout the festival weekend. A proactive member of Montrose Music Festival committee, licensee Nomie Braes has welcomed some great live bands over the years.

The Black Horse Inn has been a supporter of the music festival from the beginning. Watch out for some really intimate gigs by some top notch musicians throughout the weekend.

Busby's, probably one of the largest live music venues in Montrose, joins the festival for the first time this year hosting a range of great live music of all styles throughout the weekend.

The Carlton Hotel has opted to open their doors throughout the Sunday afternoon and host a couple of small and very intimate performances by some of the best musicians on the Scottish live music scene.

The George Hotel will play host to a live bluegrass/gospel sessions, as well as seeing some Blues, some Jazz and a performance by one of the finest young musicians in the UK today.

The Links Hotel is definitely no stranger to live music, with it's fortnightly folk club concerts to it's highly acclaimed jazz nights, it's well known on the UK music circuit. Some excellent performances are lined up here.

The Market Arms is situated directly on the High Street in the centre of town. There are some great gigs destined for this popular pub, ranging from blues to indie to rock. Licensee Willum is another early supporter of the festival.

The Neptune Bar is situated just off the beaten track on Erskine Street, just off Ferry Street. A long established bar in Montrose, look out for a couple of really intimate acoustic performances here.

The Northern Vaults is situated on the main route through the town. The music here will take place in the afternoons and evenings and will range from classic rock, to celtic/folk to acoustic roots and more.

The main music venue is upstairs at Sharky's but the bands playing there at the festival will be relayed via video and sound links to big screen TV's in the downstairs bar. Sharky's will host some exceelent bands over the weekend.
